President’s Message

Dear Friends,

Welcome to North Star International’s annual Conference, Faith to Move Mountains. As President, I am deeply honored to extend my heartfelt greetings to each of you. I am overjoyed to meet with you under the banner of love, faith, and community. We come together from diverse backgrounds and locations, united by our love for the Savior and our desire to live His teachings in our daily lives, through all our imperfections and mortal weaknesses.

Our theme, Faith to Move Mountains, resonates deeply with me. We each face mountains in our lives—obstacles that may seem insurmountable, trials that test our faith, and personal triumphs, great and small. President Russell M. Nelson taught, “Through [our] faith, Jesus Christ will increase [our] ability to move the mountains in [our lives], even though [our] personal challenges may loom as large as Mount Everest. [Our] mountains may be loneliness, doubt, illness, or other personal problems. [Our] mountains will vary, and yet the answer to each of [our] challenges is to increase [our] faith.” (“Christ is Risen: Faith in Him will Move Mountains,” April 2021)

His message reminds us that faith in Jesus Christ is the key to overcoming our difficulties. As we nurture and grow our faith, we unlock the divine assistance of our Savior, who stands ready to help us conquer our mountains, no matter how daunting they may appear. It is my prayer that this conference will provide a unique opportunity to reflect on our individual journeys, share our experiences, and draw strength from our collective faith in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel.

I honor and acknowledge the hardships many are experiencing, including doubts, losses, and countless personal struggles. Each of these trials can feel overwhelming, casting shadows on our paths. Yet, amid these challenges, hold fast to faith and hope. Answers will come and strength will be found. Our Savior is mindful of our struggles and He stands ready to offer comfort, guidance, and peace.

Over the next two days, I invite you to engage in the keynote addresses, in the breakout sessions, and with one another to find solace, encouragement, and renewed faith in Jesus Christ and the enabling power of His Atonement. Let us embrace the power of our collective spirit, support one another with compassion, and remember that through faith in Jesus Christ, we can overcome every obstacle we face. As we strive to live by His example, may we each find the hope, joy, and happiness that comes from keeping our covenants and trusting His promises.

Thank you for being here, for your courage, and for your faith. May this conference strengthen your resolve and inspire you to invite our Savior Jesus Christ to help move the mountains in your life.

With love, warmth, and blessings,

Brent Ebmeyer
