Tyran Schouten

Tyran, a visual artist based in New York City, specializes in oil paintings and sculpture aimed at inspiring viewers to seek wholeness of heart, soul, and mind. Tyran found his first North Star conference to be a significant step in his journey out of shame and secrecy into community and connection. Since graduating from BYU, Tyran has been actively shaping his artistic vision. Notably, he was featured on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints YouTube channel, where he shares his creation process and the symbolism behind painting an outdoor public mural. Tyran’s art invites viewers to reflect internally on their personal values, encouraging moments of pause, healing, and growth.
