Camille Fronk Olson

Camille Fronk Olson is a professor of Ancient Scripture at BYU and the department chair of Ancient Scripture. She completed a PhD in Middle Eastern Studies, a master’s degree in Near Eastern Studies, and a bachelor’s degree in Education. Her research activities have focused on biblical studies, women in the scriptures, LDS/evangelical dialogue, LDS doctrine, and Palestinian families in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. She is the author of Women of the Old Testament; Mary, Martha, and Me. Her volume on the Women of the New Testament is being published for an October 2014 release. She contributed the chapter, “A Church for All People, a Gospel of Inclusion,” in the book Voices of Hope: Latter-day Saint Perspectives on Same-Gender Attraction. Camille Fronk Olson is married to Paul F. Olson.
