Virginia Hinckley Pearce
Virginia Hinckley Pearce was born in Denver, Colorado and reared in Salt Lake City, Utah, the third child of President and Sister Gordon B. Hinckley. She and her late husband, James R. Pearce, are the parents of five daughters and one son. They have 27 grandchildren. Virginia served as first counselor in the General Young Women Presidency. She has also served on the Primary General Board and has been a ward and stake Relief Society president. She is currently serving a full-time mission in the LDS Church Public Affairs Dept. Receiving a bachelors degree from the University of Utah in History and a master’s degree in Social Work, Virginia has been a therapist in private practice and in a mental health agency. A published author, she is currently involved in various research and writing projects.
