Session Description:
There are so many passionate voices out there about the right and wrong way to approach issues surrounding gender identity, and the voices and opinions about the right and wrong way to parent a child grappling with concerns of this kind are some of the loudest. With every apparent answer comes an emotional rebuttal that seems to bring up more and more questions. “Of course, I love my child, but what does loving my transgender/non-binary child look like exactly?” In this closed-door session, parents of trans/non-binary children will have the opportunity to discuss these issuesin an open way. This won’t be about getting prescribed answers, but about exploring the issues and feelings associated with topics that can often be so confusing and difficult to address.
