Denise Smith

Denise has been a part of the North Star community since 2008.   She has been married to Blake for 20 years. This is a second marriage for both of them and they describe their marriage as very easy and fulfilling.  Blake told her about his struggle with SSA before they started dating.  After they married in 2004 they started attending Evergreen conferences each year and it was through the people they met there that they became involved in North Star.  She especially values all of the awesome people she has come to love through this community.  Denise is a convert to the church and has been a member since 2002.  She is a registered nurse and has a master’s in public administration.  Her career was in Public Health.  They are now retired and happily enjoy life and the grandchildren.
