Session Description:
While it’s important for regular members of the Church to extend understanding and compassion to those of us who identify as LGBT or who experience same-sex attraction, we can also learn to do the same. In this session, we will cover some of the underappreciated challenges that ordinary Latter-day Saints face around their sexuality and gender. When we compare pain, we get more pain. But when we share pain, our burdens lessen. And when compassion and mutual understanding occur, we can form a spiritual alliance across our differences that can bless and strengthen the entire Church, and help build Zion.
