Session Description:

In the gospel context, we often talk about having love for God and charity for others but rarely do we talk about self-love in the same positive tone. However, loving ourselves is an essential part of our spiritual progression. In recent research, self-compassion—a more positive way to think about selflove—has been shown to be intimately linked with resilience and promoting well-being. Together, we will discuss the various factors of self-compassion and how they relate to our experiences with same-sex attraction and gender identity issues. .Perhaps more importantly, we will learn ways to incorporate self- compassionate thoughts and behaviors into our lives to improve our  emotional and spiritual well-being.
